Join us in Silver Spring for an intimate autumn house concert in the backyard of fabulous hosts Sue and Tim Proctor! The show will feature local musicians Hassan El-Tayyab and Jenna Gallant, each with their own set.

Hassan El-Tayyab leads the roots band American Nomad. His solo show combines soulful songwriting, expressive guitar playing, humor, and storytelling. His songs draw from folk and soul, while his sets weave together original music and personal stories drawn from a life spent moving between music, travel in the Middle East, road trips across America and anti war advocacy in Washington, D.C.

Jenna Gallant (Zitomer) is a DC-based singer songwriter writing folk & indie music from the comfort of her stoop. Her music navigates complex feelings about aging, love, grief, and anxiety and is likely to make you both laugh and cry in the same set. She gathers inspiration from the walks she takes without her phone, and occasionally swaps out the guitar to tickle the old ivories.

This show is pay what you can, with a suggested donation of $20-30 a person. All proceeds will be split between Hassan and Jenna, and will go to supporting their music. No one will be turned away if paying is not possible for you right now. We're just happy you're coming!
