The band's sharp songwriting, skilled musicianship, tight horn section, and “foot-stomping” live show have been known for getting people on the dance floor and captivating diverse music audiences. Fronted by Hassan El-Tayyab, an award-winning singer-songwriter, author, and peace activist, American Nomad’s music is about honesty, vulnerability, and storytelling for a purpose. Hassan's original works have gained national recognition, earning him accolades at the Telluride Troubadour and Rocky Mountain Folk Festival Songwriter Competitions. Alongside Eric Lawry on drums, Johnny Seilkaly on bass, John Phiffer on harmonica, and Dee Batiste on Trumpet, American Nomad's sound is a blend of, soul, purpose, and passion that keeps growing.
